Can you Survive in Space without a Spacesuit?
In the new sci-fi film Sunshine, an astronaut named Mace must leave his spacecraft without a protective suit. He makes it through his exposure with only a case of frostbite. Could you really survive outer space without a suit? Yes, for a very short time.

Yawn
Hi, Miss me?

Yeah, Ive neglected this account and went to MySpam instead, butr I'll do some random postings here, too...

Gambling report - Made around $1,160 before GWBush closed the ring down. Damn...

Bowling Report - We did win the Tuesday Night 4man. Our team is back where they started - first. Friday night we are also first, while in the middle of the pack on Mondays.

Punmanship - I miss these...

1. George Bush for Christmas has to kiss under a scud.

2. George Bush for Thanksgiving has to eat this gourd-filled desert while homeless.

3. George Bush for Halloween has to stick his head in a vat of water and hope to find Donald Trump's ex-wife.

(No, none of these have anything to do with George Bush, but I'm glad the Democrats won. yay!)

Carolina Sucks
The ONLY way that Carolina is going to win the series is to get fluky goals like that.

Is It Soup Yet?
No, not soup yet. Grrrr....

Weight loss report - Gained 2 pounds. Ack. I have no one to blame but me. The recent events have caused me to eat badly and not exercize. That will change starting tomorrow, when I will get up EXTRA early to do pilates before WLTI. I do bad, I punish body. Still lost 22 pounds so far, but I need to push myself to get back into the swing of things.

Poker Report - I accidentally withdrew too much money, taking $60 when I wanted to take $40, so My account was at $18. Eep. Fortunately, in the past 2 days, it's back up to $38. Lucky White Boy hit 1st and 3rd at some SNGs - hopefully I can do some damage this weekend on it.

Bowling Report - Shoot a 148. Win. Shoot a 158. Win. Shoot a 204. Lose. Go figure. We finally win on Thursday (21-9) and are out of the 30's. Yay.

I need relief....
Sorry for the delay in writing. I've been much more of a lurker than a writer. Again, if you know what's been going on this week (and some of you do), then you know why. If you don't, then you will eventually know.

BTW, After watching Idol, my sentimental favorite is Ann Nesby's granddaughter. Her group, Sounds of Blackness, was awesome while I was growing up listening to it.

Congratulations to Jason. J-a-s-o-n. Don't s-c-r-e-w it up ;).

As for me, it's been one nutty week. It's going to get exponentially nuttier tomorrow, when I actually get to see the fruits of my labor - something I've been working over a year on, and you can say over 16 years on. It's incredible, yet mind-numbing, and I don't know how I'm going to handle it.

I think I'm going to cry. A lot. And for the first time this year, for the right reasons. I hope.

Chances of losing any sort of weight this week? Zero. Hopefully, I wont gain more than 5 pounds...

Bowling Report - We lose at 6:30, which drops us to under .500. We win again on Tuesday, which is now our 13th straight win in a row. We have a stranglehold on first, and assuming that this keeps up, the worst we can finish in the league is second.

Monday 9:00 pm - All You Can Eat, Baby! - 314-286
(Currently 5th out of 34 Teams)(Lost 2)

Tuesday 6:30 pm - The Record Kings -
(FIRST HALF FINISH - 12th out of 26 teams) 277.5-262.5
(Second Half - 16th out of 26 teams) 42-48 (Lost 1)

Tuesday 9:00 pm - The Untouchables -
(FIRST HALF FINISH 1st out of 16 teams) 87-39
(Second Half - 4th out of 16 teams) 15-6 (Won 13)

Thursday 9:00 pm - Riding the Cheetah - 236-334
(Currently 31st out of 34 teams) (Won 1)

Friday 9:00 pm - The Bottom Line - 96-63
(Currently 4th out of 26 teams) (Lost 1)

PUNMANSHIP - You guys got 2 of them. You missed this one -

2. Did you hear about that new Romeo and Juliet movie starring a sleeping aid and a main ingredient in Tylenol?

Dristan and Ibuprophin (Fine, that one sucked).

Will these be any less suckier?

1. Did you know that the old host of America's Most Funniest Videos is now an Astrologer and goes by this name?

2. The religious show that just got canned by NBC is being retooled with Aiden Quinn now playing a master angler.

3. Accountant Acronym + Root Beer = UPN and WB Merged station - with 2 letters thrown in the middle.

Good Luck!

Bathroom. Is. Done.
The first part of the apartment reclamation is complete. The bathroom is clean. Yay. Next up - the bedroom (shudder).

Poker Report - With the holiday and all, I wound up playing some poker. $40 more dollars in the bank, which brings me over the $315 mark in total winnings. The new year starts off with a nice +$40 - good enough to get a video game or 2... =).

Weight Report - I've lose another pound and a half. The total is now 26 pounds lost, which makes the goal of 40 by July very doable. Now I want more - can I get it to 52? We'll see...

Bowling Report -The good news continued on Friday, as we bounce back and spank a midling team, 5-2. I don't shoot anything to write home about (180, 170, 157), but we did get the win. Monday, however, is another matter. Jason Block came over to watch me bowl. He probably wasn't impressed as we take our worst loss of the year, 27-3. Scores - 168, 212, 159. Ick. Jason did get to see a guy next to our lanes shoot a perfect 300, so he was happy. Whoopie.

(Currently 4th out of 26 teams) (Won 1)

Total - 1012.5-958.5 - Winning percentage of 51.3%

PUNMANSHIP - TIme to go over answers. Starting with Friday - 4 of the 5 were right, Here's what you missed -

Angelina Ravijolie

1. The soon to be 110th Supreme Court Justice winds up holding a love apple, which is now called this.

Alitomato

2. Groucho Marx is collaborating on a movie about the James Frey satire - and the woman who's show catapulted him to fame.

Friday!
This weekend is going to be a very productive one. I'll be doing work in my apartment, trying to catch up on stuff, WLTI of course, and just trying to get as much done as I can.

Bowling Report - It's Thursday, so we don't win, I only shoot average (179, 175, 168) and we lose it in the third game. Finalscore - 20-10. Blech.

Bowling Report - We start the second half of the year with a split. At 6:30 pm (197, 180, 180), we lost the first game, won the second and tied the third, but lost the wood. At 9pm (190, 156, 179), just like last week, we come out of nowhere in the last game as I strike out in the 10th and the person on the other side throws a 2-4-10 split. We win the last game by 20 and the wood by 12.

Monday 9:00 pm - All You Can Eat, Baby! - 318-232
(Currently 5th out of 34 Teams)(Won 2)

Tuesday 6:30 pm - The Record Kings -
(FIRST HALF FINISH - 12th out of 26 teams)277.5-262.5
(Second Half - 16th out of 26 teams) 12-18 (Lost 1)

Tuesday 9:00 pm - The Untouchables - 87-39
(FIRST HALF FINISH 1st out of 16 teams) 87-39
(Second Half - 4th out of 16 teams) 5-2 (Won 11)

Thursday 9:00 pm - Riding the Cheetah - 220-320
(Currently 31st out of 34 teams) (Lost 2)

Friday 9:00 pm - The Bottom Line - 86-56
(Currently 3rd out of 26 teams) (Lost 1)

Total - 1005.5-929.5 - Winning percentage of 52.2%

PUNMANSHIP - I won't give the answers to the other 2 yet. Let's see if you can get those - and these 5 new ones...

1. Marcy's Friend has created her own backyard furniture and has called it this.

2. Brad Pitt's current woman is abducted by Jennifer Aniston, who then stuffs her with cheese, wraps pasta around her and bakes her in an oven.

3. Heather Graham's new bomb of a show takes a turn for the worse as her boogers go on strike, leading to the retitling.

4. A man running naked with only 5 playing cards on his body - the 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of Hearts, would be known as this.

5. RHYME PLAY: The Star of Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan now has a hot dog fetish, whipping them against the sides of U.S. Army Vehicles.

Good Luck!

Drainage
Here's how drained I was last night. I had a bowling meeting at 7:30 - and I slept right through it. On the front table. Right in front of everyone. THAT was impressive. The amazing thing was that everyone thought I was awake. I have no clue how I was able to pull it off, but I guess no one asked me anything =). I managed to get through the GSC meeting completely awake - but I'm guessing that was because I had an extra 2 hours worth of sleep thanks to the bowling meeting ;).

At least the whole ex closure issue is over. Now I only have to deal with the rest of my life. I find out in a week and a half the results of a project I'm working on, which will be a major part of my year. In addition, I decided that I am going to do the volunteering work for my friend, if not just to have a completely different change of scene. A third friend challenged me to clean up my apartment - and myself - and gave me a pilates video.

I accept all of these challenges. 2006 is going to be a very very busy year.

(FIRST HALF FINISH 1st out of 16 teams) 87-39
(Second Half - 4th out of 16 teams) 5-2 (Won 11)

Thursday 9:00 pm - Riding the Cheetah - 210-300
(Currently 30th out of 34 teams) (Lost 1)

Friday 9:00 pm - The Bottom Line - 86-56
(Currently 3rd out of 26 teams) (Lost 1)

Total - 995.5-909.5 - Winning percentage of 52.3%

PUNMANSHIP - You guys got all of the last ones, so here are 3 new ones...

1. The soon to be 110th Supreme Court Justice winds up holding a love apple, which is now called this.

2. Groucho Marx is collaborating on a movie about the James Frey satire - and the woman who's show catapulted him to fame.

3. The World War 2 War movie featuring William Holden and Alec Guiness is the last stop for the Virtual Insanity singer.

Sigh.
Let's see...

I have spent a combined 6 hours in the past 2 days either 1. Telling my exes that I am not interested, 2. Them telling me that they are not interested or 3. Telling perspective exes that I am not interested. And no, let's not even bother going into the Ex that I may be working with for Katrina.

My love life is a disaster area.

Are there any NORMAL people out there?

(Sigh)

Ok. Done ranting. Time to go speed dating on Saturday (oh, THAT ought to be fun...NOT.).

Bowling Report - Our Monday night team loses the last game when 2 of the last 3 bowlers split (yours truly included). We should have won the night, 28-2. We did win, 22-8, as I shot a 180, 188, 157 (Yes, Kevin, I will include scores from now on). And so it goes...

Monday 9:00 pm - All You Can Eat, Baby! - 318-232
(Currently 5th out of 34 Teams)(Won 2)

Tuesday 6:30 pm - The Record Kings - 277.5-262.5

Friday 9:00 pm - The Bottom Line - 86-56
(Currently 3rd out of 26 teams) (Lost 1)

Total - 978.5-889.5 - Winning percentage of 52.3%

PUNMANSHIP - Still no takers on the old puzzles? Marc got the new ones. Who will get these?

1. The writer of the Harry Potter books is scribling on an empty stomach, which is making her do this.

2. Did you hear that the actor who played Marty McFly in the Back to the Future films is now selling a salad vegetable?

3. In this VH1 spectacular, ANT teaches Biz Markie and Young MC how to use needlepoint to slim down.

Good Luck!
